Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results; our servers do not retain a copy of the search. If you contact us, we receive the information in that message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services maintain routine logs, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the reference and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, resolve technical problems, measure traffic, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to county or state record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their own privacy policies control what you provide after leaving this reference. This includes sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a service retains. Massachusetts material reviewed for this reference did not identify an enacted comprehensive data-broker deletion law; it instead addresses public-record exemptions, security safeguards, and other focused rules. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Massachusetts, Norfolk County, or Canton custodians remain outside our control and must be addressed to that custodian.
Changes to This Policy
We will post revisions here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
